Großauftrag von HDW sichert die Zukunft für SSW-Werft

Ein Großauftrag der Kieler HDW-Werft sichert dauerhaft die Beschäftigung bei der SSW Fähr- und Spezialschiffbau GmbH. Bis ins erste Quartal 2005 ist SSW mit dem Bau mehrerer Großsektionen für vier Containerschiffe praktisch ausgelastet.

Mit Beginn des nächsten Jahres werden auf dem SSW-Helgen zwei schwimmfähige Vorschiffe für die Neubauten 1 und 2 der HDW entstehen. Außerdem baut die SSW die Deckshäuser für alle 4 Schiffe und Teile des Achterstevens sowie Vorschiffblöcke für Schiff 3 und 4.

A mayor contract with the shipyard HDW, Kiel ensures that SSW Fähr- und Spezialschiffbau GmbH is actively employed on a long-term basis. Until the first quarter of 2005, SSW will practically be working to full capacity by building several large sections for four container ships.

From the beginning of next year, two floatable fore ships for HDW's newbuilding 1 and 2 will be built in the SSW berth. In addition, SSW will construct the deckshouses for all of the 4 vessels as well as parts of sternpost and fore ship blocks for ship 3 and 4.
